Have you always wanted to keep a journal, but had a hard time staying consistent? You’re not the only one! Join our brand-new journaling club to try out fun prompts and practice new styles. We meet at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays on Zoom.
Meeting ID: 868 7013 7333
The writing prompt for the next meeting, Jan. 25, is:
Name one “beginning” and one “ending” of things you experienced in 2021. This could be starting a new hobby, or a favorite TV show’s final season. Then name some “beginnings” and “endings” of things you hope to experience in 2022. Try to come up with at least 3 for each category.
Need some extra inspiration? Revisit some prompts from our previous meetings!
|1/11/2022||Write about a memory you can recall strongly. It can be happy, sad, funny, frustrating. Notice how you feel as you are writing it. Then reflect on how you feel after concluding your journal entry. How have your feelings changed from before and after writing it down?|
|12/14/2021||“Five Senses”: In list or paragraph form, write 5 things you see, 4 things you hear, 3 things you feel, 2 things you smell, and 1 thing you taste.|
|11/23/2021||Personify your doubts, worries, and negative-self talk as an “inner gremlin.” Draw a picture of your “gremlin,” and write a letter addressed to them. What would you say to your “gremlin” to make them shut up?|
|11/9/2021||What makes you feel “cozy”?|
|10/26/2021||Describe your favorite room in your house. Be as detailed as you want, but be sure to tell us why it is your favorite.|
