November 1st, 15th, and 29th, all at 6 p.m. at CCM Edgewood
For aspiring novelists, seasoned authors, and enthusiasts of the craft!
In November, we celebrate NaNoWriMo–that’s “National Novel Writing Month,” for the uninitiated. Writing a novel is no easy task, especially considering the average length is between 70,000 and 120,000 words. With nothing between you and your masterpiece but a keyboard or a pen, it can feel pretty lonely.
Take a break from typing your masterpiece and join us for some wordy and nerdy activities. We’ll play some literary-themed games. We’ll flex our creative muscles with some wacky writing activities. Best of all, we’ll eat some snacks.
While we are hosting these events to celebrate NaNoWriMo, you don’t have to be participating to attend our events. Just come ready to cheer on the brave souls tackling the challenge!
No registration necessary.
Virtual Writing Space
Saturdays, 9–11 a.m. ET AND Wednesdays, 6–8 p.m. ET. All November long!
When you’re ready to get back to business, check out Write Pittsburgh’s Open Studio Time. Drop into their online co-writing open studio and write with them. They’ll have some tips and prompts and occasional check-ins, but this is a low-key event. You don’t even have to be doing NaNoWriMo to participate! Just show up and write! A little moral support goes a long way.
