Hanna Mosca of Grow Pittsburgh shares her expertise in organic gardening in two sessions. We’re so fortunate to have wonderful library patrons share their knowledge!

Part 1

Want to organically garden at your home? It’s time to take your garden to the next level! C.C. Mellor Memorial library welcomes Hanna Mosca from Grow Pittsburgh! She’ll walk us through choosing a location, different garden types (raised bed, container, in ground), prep work for starting a new garden or refreshing a garden, soil types and testing, and garden planning.

Part 2

Now for the plants! Learn how to plan for varieties, watering, and spacing. Hanna discusses sourcing seeds and plants, direct seeding versus transplanting, and routine garden maintenance.
