Recurring Programs

Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers (0-5)

Baby Talk

Join us for a fun and educational program for babies ages 0-24 months and their caregivers! For an hour each week we’ll open our children’s programming room to our youngest patrons, with developmentally appropriate toys and books and coffee and tea for the grownups. Meet other caregivers and learn and grown with your baby with a new experience each week! Older siblings welcome, but expect your little one to be star of the show. We’ll meet in the children’s programming room.

Family Storytime

Families, caregivers and little ones are invited to join us for storytime! We’ll sing songs, read books, dance, and play together!

Pajama Storytime

Snuggle in for the evening at Pajama Storytime!

Each week we’ll have bedtime stories and songs for all ages.

Pajamas not required.    

Music and Movement Storytime

Sing, dance, and play with the library at this special storytime for movers and shakers!

We’ll share interactive stories, experiment with instruments and sounds, and move our bodies with props like scarves and parachutes.

This program will is best for children ages 18 months to 5 years old and their caregivers.

Come ready to rock and roll at the Churchill Borough building’s Yagle Community Room! 

School Age (5-10)

Makerspace Mondays

Design, build, create, and tinker at the library every Monday after school! Drop in between 4 and 6 PM for a new project every week. For kids ages 5 and up through May 13.

Homeschool Book Club

Homeschool book club is back! Our Chapter Chat readers (geared toward ages 5-8) will try a new first chapter book series every month, while Novel Ideas (geared toward ages 9-12) will tackle middle grade reads. At each meeting, we’ll chat about the book, play fun games, and make cool projects. Books available at the children’s desk or at the previous month’s meeting.

CCM Forest Hills School Aged Programs

​​​Come on an adventure with Ms. Jen at the library! Every week we’ll read a picture book together, then extend the fun with some activities or games. From scavenger hunts to STEM projects to crafts, we’ll make early elementary school books come to life with hands on activities.​

Events

Family Blanket Fort Night

CCM Edgewood

January 19: 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

CCM Forest Hills

January 26: 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Gather your family, grab your pillows and blankets, and visit the library after hours for Family Fort Night! We’ll have the whole building to ourselves as we construct our blanket forts. Make sure your fort is structurally sound before the lights go off at 6:45, when you can read and enjoy a popcorn snack with your family. Best for kids 3-8 and caregivers. Please register.​ 

Tape Town

Beep! Beep! Time to play with cars! Come see the library transformed into a make-believe mini-town with roads and areas to visit. We have plenty of cars to share or you can bring your own. One day only! 

Mario Party

Wahoo! Drop in the library for a real-life Mario Party! We’ll have games, crafts, challenges, and more to match your favorite levels and mini games! Fun for the whole family. 

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Ever wonder what happens at the library after you leave? Drop a stuffed animal friend off at the library earlier in the week, then stop by for a special story time on Saturday to hear about their adventures and pick them up!
