Volunteer Opportunities
Our annual book sale in March is our biggest fundraising event of the year. An event of this size requires many helping hands! We will need volunteers to help set up for the sale and clean up afterwards. If you’re interested in volunteering, sign up at CCM Edgewood in February or email Erin Pierce.
This volunteer helps with the overall light maintenance of the Edgewood facility, both indoor and outdoor. Weeds, leaves, and dusting
This volunteer works with other AARP preparers to do client taxes. Preparers meet with clients Tues/Wed/Thurs in February and March.
This volunteer helps with day-of events (Block Party, Adopt a Book, and Arts & Crafts Fair)
This volunteer assists a staff member to table Community Day events in the Summer. There is usually a simple craft and some flyers to hand out.
This volunteer assists the Youth Services Manager or the other library staff with their programming. You’re an extra pair of hands to help the younger participants.
This volunteer helps the Children’s Room staff with checking in items that come in the daily delivery. The items are either patron holds and items that have come back home.
This volunteer sorts donations into genres for the book sale.
This volunteer shelves items that are checked in. There is a Children’s floor and an adult floor at the Edgewood Branch. The spine labels designate where the item is placed. We have printed books, audio books, DVDs, magazines, and games.
