CCM Seed Library
- The seed library is entirely self-service: you don’t need to ask permission to take anything home with you.
- There are no “checkout periods” for seeds. Different plants take different lengths of time to grow, so don’t worry about returning anything by a specific date. Just bring some back whenever your plants are producing seeds of their own!
- If you have some seeds you’d like to donate to our collection, please use one of the Seed Library labels and fill it out to the best of your ability. It’s okay if you need to leave a few fields blank, but the more information you give, the better prepared your fellow gardeners will be.
- Before you donate your seeds, make sure that they are COMPLETELY dry. Having as little moisture as possible helps the seeds last longer in storage.
- If you only want to take a few seeds out of a full envelope in the catalog, feel free to use one of the smaller envelopes on top of the catalog. Just make sure that you put the remaining seeds in a fresh envelope with a Seed Library label so that it is completely sealed.
- There is a notebook on top of the catalog; if you do give or take seeds, let us know! Signing items in/out helps us keep track of how many people use our Seed Library.
- If you notice that we are running low on supplies or that something is wrong with the catalog, please let a staff member know so that we can refill.
