Storytime in the Park

Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. at Koenig Field
Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. at Lions Park
Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. at the Westinghouse Lodge

This summer, we’re taking storytime outside at three of our local parks! No registration required, just grab a picnic blanket and your face masks and join us for books, songs, and rhymes!

Storytime canceled July 8 for thunderstorm warnings.

Storytime in the Park cancellations for weather will be posted here by 9 AM that morning.

Summer STEAM In the Park

June 14-August 14. A weekly drop-in program geared for elementary-aged children with multiple stations for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math activities. Great for families to explore together. We’ll be outside, so wear a mask and dress for the weather!

Tuesdays 1-3 PM at Koenig Field in Edgewood

Wednesdays 1-3 PM at Lions Park in Wilkins Township

Tie Dye Day

June 17, 1-5 PM, Koenig Field

Join us in celebrating C.C. Mellor Memorial Library’s partnership with WQED as an Inquire Within Library! Sign your family up for a time slot to tie dye a t-shirt to take home. T-shirts in children’s sizes will be available.

Play games, solve puzzles, and crack secret messages at CryptoClub! Middle schoolers will learn cool new ciphers each week. Investigate the clues to solve mysteries, unlock treats, and stump your friends.

GSK Science in the Summer with Carnegie Science Center

When school is out, science is in! GSK Science in the Summer™ keeps the learning going for students entering second through sixth grade and their families. This program will be offered virtually this year: students will pick up a kit of engineering projects and join library and Carnegie Science Center staff on a video call.
